We've just finished the first of our workshops on inclusive communication. It reaffirmed how significant the language we use is when addressing others and how important it is to be sensitive to the audience in how we express ourselves and to recognise the needs of the people with whom we communicate.
We ought to take note that we bear responsibility for what we say and how we say it. This is why, in order to consciously harness the power of words and their potential, we should learn, listen and ask questions. Education is, after all, the key to openness, and acceptance is a way of caring for the welfare of our fellow human beings.
We'd like to thank Paulina Darłak for introducing us to the subject of inclusive language. We understand that this is just the beginning of our journey and we look forward to learning more.
