Bielsko-Biała's efforts to win the title of European Capital of Culture 2029 have brought results. This afternoon we learned that our city has advanced to the second stage of the battle for the ECoC. Our application form – the so-called bidbook - gained acceptance of the evaluation committee composed of European experts.

On November 27, Punkt 11 once again hosted the LGBTQ+ community. After the first meeting, which was a workshop and focused on inclusive language, there was an invitation to discuss the problems, challenges and needs of LGBTQ+ people living in Bielsko-Biała.

A record number of 105 projects were submitted by the inhabitants of Bielsko-Biała and its surroundings during the second call for ideas for cultural and social projects as part of the city's bid for the title of European Capital of Culture 2029.

We've just finished the first of our workshops on inclusive communication. It reaffirmed how significant the language we use is when addressing others and how important it is to be sensitive to the audience in how we express ourselves and to recognise the needs of the people with whom we communicate.

In light of this, together with the Polka Idolka Foundation, we’d like to invite you to a special, stimulating meeting to be held on 26th October at 6pm in Punkt 11.

The strategy document comprises an initial analysis, a vision for development, the role of culture in the city, expectations, aspirations, ways to engage residents in realising the vision, priorities and strategic goals, directions for action to be taken, the principal initiatives, and an implementation and monitoring system.
